Evelyn Lewis, MS, Director, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from North Carolina State University and a Master of Science in Statistics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).  She served as teaching assistant for statistics at UMBC, and tutored students with developmental delays in Prince George’s County.  She held leadership positions with the Educational Outreach Ministry for First Baptist Church on Minnesota Avenue, Washington, D.C.  Mrs. Lewis is a member of the STEM Career Institute and Secretary for the Burtonsville Elementary School Parent Teacher Association.  She works as a statistician for the U.S. Census Bureau and enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. 

Mrs. Lewis is humbled to be a part of High Bridge Foundation, Inc.  Over the years, she has seen the Foundation offer more scholarships, extend the scholarship funding period from 1 year to 2 years, and expand the geographic area it serves to reach even more students.  She hopes to continue to move the Foundation’s work forward.
